Sequel to the increase in the number of cases in the state, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday moved round Akure, the state capital, to monitor the level of compliance with the use of face mask and social distancing by the residents.
The governor, who was obviously not too impressed at the level of usage of face mask by the people used the opportunity to stop at strategic places to give out free face masks to residents who were not using .
On sighting the governor, residents trooped out massively to get their own face mask from him.
It would be recalled that on Monday at his statewide broadcast, Akeredolu had mandated the security men in the state to start arresting anyone without the face mask.
However, we this development, people have started rushing to get the nose mask in preventing the widespread of the coronavirus in the state.
