The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode and former Senator that represented Bayelsa East between 2015-2019, Ben Murray-Bruce have mourned the death of a former colleague, Senator Buruji Kashamu.
Senator Kashamu died of COVID-19, WESTERN POST learnt this evening. He was 62 years old.
Fani-Kayode in a tweet on Saturday said, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and brother Senator Buruji Kashamu as a result of Covid-19.
“May the Lord honor and reward him with a place in heaven & may He forgive him of all his sins. RIP my old friend. You fought a good fight & we shall miss you.”
Founder, Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, tweets, “I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19. Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable.
“He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.”
