The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday reported 1,444 new cases of COVID-19 with 15 deaths.
The NCDC, on its official Twitter handle, said the total infections in the country is now 110,387 with 1,435 fatalities.
The Nigeria’s public health institute said that the new infections were reported from 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It stated that Lagos state topped the list with 901 infections, FCT 54, Plateau 136, Rivers 10, Kaduna state-57, Anambra-52, Ogun-28, Ebonyi-53, Edo-15 and Imo-16 cases.
NCDC disclosed that it discharged on Sunday 717 community recoveries in Lagos and a backlog of 2,825 community recoveries in FCT managed in line with guidelines.
