COVID-19: Oyo Minority Leader Wishes Gov. Makinde Quick Recovery

The Minority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly Honorable Asimiyu Alarape has sent a quick recovery message to the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde who tested positive to COVID-19.

The lawmaker representing Atiba state Constituency in the 9th Assembly sent the message on behalf of other Honorable members during a brief chat with journalists on the development.

The state governor on Monday confirmed he tested positive to the ravaging  Coronavirus in the State via contact with the appointed Professor  Temitope Alonge, a former Chief Medical Director (CMD)of the University College Hospital(UCH),Ibadan as the Head of Covid-19 Task Force.

Hon. Asimiyu who wished the governor rapid recovery said  “Your Excellency, on behalf of the Minority members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, l wish you very quick and sound recovery. We are confident that you will lead us through this trying period and beyond. The Lord is your strength, he added.

He said further that, the Oyo state House of Assembly and the entire people of the Pace Setter state have a strong belief and confidence in Engr. Makinde that he is going to lead Oyo State through this trying time.

The Minority leader urged the people of the state to abide by the directives of the Federal government to stay home and stay safe, and also to practice all forms of proper hygiene in order to curb the spread of the virus ravaging the globe.

He also wish his constituents members God’s protections.
