COVID-19 : Squadron Committee Vows Enforce Stay at Home Order in Kogi

The State COVD -19  Squadron Committee set up on prevention of Coronavirus by Kogi State government has vowed to enforce the stay at home order to curb the disease.

The Chairman of the Committee and the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Edward Onoja while briefing pressmen in Lokoja, stated that already the committee has prevention measures of no gathering of any sort, social and distancing and stay at home until further notice, thereby urging everybody to stay at home.

He stressed that while staying at home,the nobility particularly, Tricycles, commercial motorcycles operators will be restricted  as from today being Saturday 28/03/ 2020, adding that the committee in collaboration with the security will strictly enforce the stay at home order.

“For those traveling through Kogi State are advised  that should be no stopping within Kogi borders ,while passenger coming to Kogi State ,in Lokoja, state capital six stoping points have been created, these are  Nataco,entrance from. Abuja, Kabba junction entrance from Obajana, Banana Junction, Crusher and Zango”, he pointed out.

He stated that all these points will be manned by security agencies, Medical personnel to test passengers that will coming out from these vehicles.

“We also asked that only sellers of foodstuff stalls, pharmaceuticals would be allowed to open from tomorrow,all other traders who does not fall in these categories should stay away

“We have been advised that it is a human being that carries the disease , arguing that the only way to prevent the mobility of this virus is for everybody to stay away . The symptoms are Coughing, difficulty in breathing
