…extends resumption date for workers to April 27

Oyo State Governor. Engr. Seyi Makinde on Friday hit hard on cynics whose interests are to get bad reports from the state from the fight against the coronavirus pandemic saying “,they will not get it” just as he announced the extension of resumption date for workers to resume to their duty posts from 20th to 27th April, 2020.
Makinde who doubles as the Chairman of the state Task Force on Covid-19 stated this while commending newsmen for their unbiased reportage of events concerning the pandemic in the state at a briefing held at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
“I do know that there are certain people that all they are interested in is bad news coming from Oyo state, but it looks like they are disappointed currently. They need to intensify their prayers to see if they can get anything of bad report from here
“It is not going to happen. We are doing everything humanly possible, logical and backed by science and also this is a government instituted by God himself, so they will wait and will never get that bad news”, he said
He stated that modalities is being put in place for the distribution of palliatives to the poorest of the poor “hopefully” before the end of next week adding that cautious efforts is being made to avoid the challenges occasioned during similar exercise in some states the federation.
