Covid-19:Lagosians Have Refused to Adhere To Social Distancing

Lagos resident have refused to obey the state  government on social distancing in the advent of Coronavirus, Covid-19.

Recently in a press briefing , Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stressed the fact of social distancing to reduce rate of Coronavirus in Lagos State. Commissioner for Health in Lagos State , Professor Akin Abayomi, also emphasized that in a press briefing on Friday at Alausa , saying

” Our Mathematical modeling shows that worst case scenario we might have is 39,000 cases in Lagos State.However, if we practice good social distancing, we can limit that to about 13,000.”


Reverse was the case on Saturday when the Lagos State Government began the distribution of foodstuffs across the state to cushion the economical effect of Coronavirus.At Bade Abiona street off Amoo Orile Agege residents were seen not maintaining social distancing while a Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps ,LNSC, who was suppose to adhere to strict instructions from the Lagos State Government aided such acts.
