The Critical Stakeholders including Traditional rulers in the Seven Local Government Councils that comprised Kogi West Senatorial District have endorsed Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello second term.
At the stakeholders meeting with the Governor at Government House in Lokoja, on Tuesday have unanimously agreed to support the the Governor to realize his second term ambition to return to Lugard House come November 2, 2019.
Speaking at the meeting the Chairman of Traditional Council of Kogi/Koton Karfe ,the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfe , Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto commended governor Yahaya Bello for the developmental strides in In Kogi Local Government Areas of the state in past three years.
The Royal father noted that it was the administration Alhaji Yahaya Bello that connected Koton Karfe to the national grid, adding that that was the major thing he did as new governor in 2016 by connecting Koto with electricity.
He added that when he approached the Governor about the water situation in Koton Karfe the Governor mobilized contractor to the water works site and by special grace of God, the project is near completion.
The Chairman of Okun Traditional Council and Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dele Owoniyi who spoke on behalf of Kabba Bunu commended the Governor on various achievements, urging him to be focused and continue to do his best.
The Royal father said the t people of Kabba/Bunu came to show solidarity support for the Governor’s ambition for second term and came to endorse him.
The Governor was also lauded for his determinations to making to a Rice producing by establishing a gigantic Rice mills at Ejiba in Yagba West local government.
They also commended him for provision of adequate security and construction of Ejuku- Jege road as well as appointing their sons and daughters to his cabinet.
The traditional ruler also commended the governor over the security architecture in Kogi Local Government, saying that people of the area are now sleeping with their two eyes closed.
The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mathew Kolawole assured the governor that the people of Kogi West are solidly behind him, saying the second term is assured.
The Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in his remarks commended the people of Kogi West for the solidarity visit and endorsement for the second tenure in office as governor of Kogi State.
Bello explained that he continue the good things he has been doing in the last three years, noting that he will concentrate on human capital development if given the opportunity for second term in office.
