The Bishop of Yewa Diocese, Anglican Church Ilaro, Most Rev Micheal Oluwarohunbi has described the Governor-elect of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun as a God anointed person that we give hope back to State.
The Cleric gave the advice to the successful entrepreneur and oil magnate – turned politician during the pre-inauguration Church service in Ilaro, before leading the congregation to pray for the success of Abiodun’s incoming government in the state.
Rev. Michael Oluwarohunbi, stated this in his sermon titled: “Every position has responsibility attached to it”.
Bishop of Anglican Yewa Dioceses urged the governor elect Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun to take cognizance of the fact that he has been “chosen to serve by the most high God,” and he should be a servant of all” Ogun people.
Oluwarhunbi advised him to be wary of sycophants and groups who would cluster at the corridors of office for personal benefits, saying they were the ones that misled his predecessors because of their personal interest.
The Bishop urged the Governor-elect to use his administration to address the issues of infrastructural developments in the state and shun divisive and sectional governance, reminding him that Ogun West people are looking up to him to put a halt to their years of suffering and neglect.
While advising the Governor- elect could learn useful lessons from the government of Amosun, Gbenga Daniel and others before him, he would be distinguished among his predecessor.
In his response, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, governor elect of Ogun state commended the Ogun West people for their support and prayer that ensured his victory at the poll, pledging to run a “mass centric government.”
He said no part of the state would go on receiving state government’s attention to the detriment of others, pledging to embark upon massive roads rehabilitation and reconstruction across the state based on the ones the people considered as their priorities.
Also the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola popularly called Yayi appreciate the good people of Ogun State for voting for man of high pedigree. Someone that prepare for governance and not a mediocre.
He said Dapo Abiodun administration will put smiles on the face of the people of Ogun state and dividend of Democracy will be distributed across nook and cranny of the state.
