The Governor-elect of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun hold an international meeting with World Bank Country Director for Nigeria and West African Regional Integration on how to fast track the physical transformation of Ogun State and the neighbouring State.
Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR stated this during an international meeting held this afternoon with the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria and Coordinating Director for West Africa Regional Integration, Mr Rachid Benmessaoud and his team meet in Abuja.
According to Prince Abiodun explained that the team brief him on the various development activities being undertaken by the bank in Ogun state in the past.
Part of our discussion also delves into how they can achieve a successful and impactful economic transition in Ogun State and even more than what we have been experiencing in the past.
“We also deliberated on how to promote private sector engagement as a means to make our state a choice investment destinations and how to accelerate the physical transformation of Ogun State and the neighboring state”.
According to the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria and Coordinating Director for West Africa Regional Integration, Mr Rachid Benmessaoud said they are ready to partners with Dapo Abiodun and his cabinet immediately when he was sworn in as the state governor without any delay.
He said, Nigeria has been the bank headquarters in the West African Countries, but we are planing to take Ogun State as based.
