The ceremony which was attended by hundreds of parties faithful caused a serious gridlock at the end of Lagos-Abeokuta road.

Abiodun in his acceptance speech, titled “Victory For Ogun People” reiterated his commitment to all inclusive government.

He commended INEC for being an “impartial arbiter”, urging the commission to sustain the professionalism in future elections.

“Today indeed represents a further confirmation and validation of the collective resolve of Ogun people as expressed on March 9th, 2019. I am a privileged beneficiary of that resolve.”

He added, “I therefore commit myself to an all inclusive, equitable and fair minded approach to governance as pledged by me during the campaigns and in my acceptance speech of 11th March, 2019.

“In line with our slogan during the campaigns, “Igbega Ipinle Ogun, ajose gbogbo wa ni”, the time to start working together is now. There is more to gain as a people in collective efforts than otherwise.

“Let me not fail to recognize and acknowledge the professionalism demonstrated by all Security agencies that played one role or the other in our elections. You were above board and I thank you immensely.

“Finally, to my esteemed Ogun people, the 2019 election was your election and March 9th was your day. With the good choice that you have made on that fateful day, may tomorrow also be your best future.”
