DIG Jubrin Charges Police to be Professional on Election Duty

Members of the Oyo State Police Command assigned for the 2019 general elections have been told to be professional during their service at the exercise starting with the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections on Saturday

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Yakubu Jubrin in charge of Training and Development gave the charge during his visit to the Oyo State Command.
 He charged them to be punctual and up and doing, saying that the police authority was very concerned about their welfare.
“You have to be professional because the police is the leading agency. You must be ready to discharge your duties properly at the election Anything unprofessional will not be acceptable, so, you have to comport yourselves in  good manners.
In his address at the programme, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Leye Oyebade charged them to create an enabling environment for the electorate to vote, pointing out that Oyo State is strategic during election exercise.
According to him, the Police must be ready to do proper work at the 2019 polls, just as he  assured that the Police is on top of the situation in Oyo State.
“I also want to urge you men of the command   to be professional on duty, you should be   up and doing and be careful.”
In his opening remark, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Shina Tairu Olukolu assured the DIG that members of the command are fully ready for election.
He said a  total of 10,000  Police from the command have been deployed for the election exercise, adding that: “We are also planning to embark on show of force to show that we are ready for the election exercise.
