Muslim proprietors under the umbrella body of Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS), Nigeria Oyo State Chapter have been admonished to discharge their service to parents whose children and wards are in their schools with fear of God
The admonition was contained in the sallah message of Hajia (Dr.) Aminat Olaboopo to Muslim proprietors and teachers across the state and Nigeria in general.
According to her, members need to discharge their duty with fear of God to parents who entrust their children and wards to their custody for learning adding that this will promote robust relationship between the parent and school management.
“I want to encourage our people to discharge their duty with fear of God in order to promote trust and mutual relationship between parents, teachers and school owners”
Dr Olaboopo, former chairperson, AMIS, Oyo state chapter said members of the association and teachers during her tenure in office were cooperative and diligent at work, urging them to seek more knowledge and improve in their various field.
“Parents should use the holiday period to do proper budgeting for the resumption of of their children into next acedemic session.”
“They must be ready to spend their money wisely on the academic needs of their children such that will help them in their studies.”
Dr Olaboopo also urged government to work on the issue of multiple taxation and harassment confronting private school owners from some government agents adding that private school owners should be seen as partners in progress like it is in the foreign countries.
“Government should work out means of supporting and establishing good relationship with approved private schools in the state. Governmet should also give them grants and otrr forms of support instead of seeing them as business ventures.”
