The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the leader of Monday’s #EndSARS protest in Osun, Emmanuel Adebisi popularly known as Captain.

Adebisi was said to have been detained over an allegation against him. His arrest, according to sources may not be in connection with #EndSARS protest.

It was further gathered that Adebisi was arrested on the basis that he was allegedly impersonating as an officer of the Nigerian Army.

It was also learnt that he might not be released until he is charged if the allegation against him is true.

Adebisi had on Monday led the second wave of #EndSARS protest in Osun State where he led some youth to the State House of Assembly calling for the disbandment of the State Panel of Inquiry against police brutality because non of its members was included among other demands.

The youths armed themselves with different placards to the entrance of  Assembly where the Speaker, Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye promised to meet with the concerned stakeholders on their demands and get back to them next week Monday.

The placards read: “We are not fighting for any political party”, “#End Bad Judiciary in Nigeria”, ” #End fake judicial panel of Inquiry in Osun”, “Unfreeze all the frozen accounts”, ” We are Nigerian youths,” among others.
