Ogun State Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele has felicitated with Muslim faithful as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitri.
She urged them to continue to pray for the peace of the nation, especially now that insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping are ravaging the country.
The deputy governor stated this when she joined other Muslims to pray and give thanks to Almighty Allah for making this year’s celebration possible at Nuwarudeeen Primary School, Ota.
She noted that the prayers of Muslims faithful who have denied themselves during the period of fast, would go a long way in restoring normalcy to the country.
She also implored them to remember to observe all prescribed Covid-19 protocol particularly with a report of a new strain coronavirus in some parts of the world.
In his remarks, the Olota of Ota, His Royal Highness, Oba (Prof) Abdulkabir Obalanlege Olota urged Muslims to always reflect on the doctrines of Islam and shun any act that would tarnish their image, urging them to also embrace peace, love and unity.
