The need for Muslim faithful and Nigerians, in general, to continue to demonstrate pure love, tolerance and make sacrifices to keep Nigeria as an indivisible entity for her to attain sustainable growth and development has been stressed.
The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danaladi-Salihu in his Sallah message to the faithful, on Monday, congratulates the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and other traditional rulers and the Muslim communities for witnessing the Eidul-Kabīr festival 1442 AH.
“I congratulate the Executive Governor of Kwara State; Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and all our traditional rulers and fathers as well as the Muslim communities for witnessing yet another Eidul-Kabīr and charged the faithful to remember Nigeria and Kwara state in prayers.
“It is important for us as Muslims to have a deep reflection on the lessons of sacrifice, tolerance and love for one another that this Eidul-Kabīr typifies, remember Nigeria and our dear Kwara State as well as our leaders in prayers for Allah’s divine wisdom in directing our affairs so that we can overcome challenges facing us.
“As the second arm of government, we will continue to give necessary legislative backings to the state government under the leadership of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq so that it can consolidate on the numerous infrastructural projects and development across the state,” the speaker said.
While admonishing the Muslim faithful to be moderate in their celebration and share the joyous moment with the less privileged around them, the Ilesha/Gwanara representative called for adherence to all the Covid-19 preventive measures.
The Speaker appealed for more patience, support and cooperation from the citizens especially the stakeholders with the Governor and his government assuring that Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq means well for the citizenry.
