The Founder and Spiritual leader of Shafaudeen- In- Islam Worldwide, Wakajaye, Ibadan, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, has urged Nigerians and its leaders to refrain from seven sinful acts identified by former Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi that could bring down a nation.
The Islamic cleric in his Eid-el-Kabir message to felicitate Muslims across the country, admonished the government and her people to refrain from these sins but restore self-esteem to promote sanity, security, and development at a sustainable level.
Olagoke said for lack of faith and low scripture compliance, the seven sins foreseen by Mahatma Gandhi plague every nation till today eroding ethics and integrity and Nigeria is no exception.
According to him, the seven sins are; wealth without work through corrupt practices and no respect for dignity of labour; pleasure without conscience through ritual killing, yahoo-yahoo, yahoo-yahoo+ and other sharp practices; knowledge without character leading institutions into rots and commerce without morality leading into sponsorship of violence and terrorism
Others are, science without humanity threatening humanity into precipice and seeming extinction!; religion without Sacrifice depriving mankind of spiritual guide into sanity because of no scripture compliance, and defiance into its commercialization and politics without principle to impoverish the people into poverty, hunger and diseases in the extreme regime ofklleptocracy.
While congratulating Muslims on the occasion, he pointed out that Eid ‘I Kabir celebration has spiritual and socio-economic goal fulfillment dimension adding that it was a turning point for good in the life of Prophet Ibraheem (ASW), his household and the whole world till date.
