A gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the ruling-All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent Secretary to Government of Osun State, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti has congratulated Dr Kayode Fayemi over his victory at the just-concluded governorship election in Ekiti State.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the spokesman of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organization (MACO), Mr Kayode Agbaje and made available to newsmen in Osogbo.
According to Alhaji Adeoti, Dr Fayemi’s victory at the poll, is a victory for Ekiti people, especially the state workers whose lives have become unbearable under the current administration in the state.
“I am using this opportunity to congratulate Ekiti people, who in spite of visible intimidation by the power that be in the state, walked their talk and voted-in a candidate of their choice.
“This is a clear message to all rulers that power is transient and that the people’s emotions should never be toyed with,” Alhaji Adeoti stated.
He however admonished the winner of the election, Dr. Fayemi not to see his election as an opportunity for vendetta but to see his emergence as an act of God.
Alhaji Adeoti also advised Ekiti State residents and elites to rally round the governorship election winner, with a view to ensuring an all-round development of the state.
“This is not the time for vendetta but a time for sober reflection to take stock and see what can be done to move Ekiti State forward,” he stressed.
The governorship hopeful therefore expressed his joy that Ekiti State has eventually returned to the progressive fold and urged the state residents and indigenes to continue to pray for their newly-elected governor to succeed in the onerous task of taking the state to greater height after his inauguration.
