…As breakdown of smart card readers hamper voting exercise in several centres

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has described the 2019 Presidential and House of Assembly elections as relatively peaceful and well organised.
Ajimobi, while assessing the the election process since its commencement at 8am , said shortly after casting his vote at ward 9,Oluyole area of Ibadan at about 1:15pm, that the process has been transparent and credible
He said however, there were however, exceptional cases where INEC officials came late to the polling centres.
Meanwhile, there have been reported case cases of breakdown of Card Reader Machines at some polling booths, while those affected several eligible voters index fingers were unable to be captured by the card readers.
Two of such locations include Ward 11,Unit 7, Eleyele, I and Warrd 12,Unit 6 Felele, Onibonoje, junction both in the Ibadan metropolis.
An official who spoke with Vanguard on the grounds of anonymity in one of the affected centres, said alternative measure had been put in place as those affected would captured through the manual processes.
