The House Of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for Akure North/South in the February election, Hon. Adedayo Omolafe, has asked his supporters to be calm and focused.
Omolafe, who was speaking on Sunday evening with journalists, solicited for perfect peace among party members and all peace loving people of the constituency.
“I wish to express dismay at the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections by the Electoral Umpire few hours to its commencement, I hereby appeal to our party members to be calm and focused. We all woke up to the unpalatable news of election postponement,” He said.
He said further that, the argument of logistic problem put forward by INEC was laughable and unthinkable considering the huge resources and the time that was available to INEC for her planning.
He however, appreciate the good people of Akure North and South Federal Constituency who were prepared and determined to do the needful with their voters card before the sudden announcement of postponement.
“Let me inform our good that we must remain resolute, vigilant and unshaken at this critical time , we must be on the alert and be more determined in the next few days to ensure that we use our PVC to elect me as your Representative as well as other PDP Candidates. We will together, build a more egalitarian and prosperous constituency of our dream.
“I appeal to you to come out en masse on 23rd February without any iota of fear and doubt to vote for me as you have resolved to do.”
