The Founder, Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Engr (prof) Sabit Ariyo Olagoke has urged the federal government to embark on restructuring measures in order to fix the nation and advance the course of the country.
Professor Olagoke made the point at a press conference held at the Dapo Aserigba Hall of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Iyaganku in Ibadan on Friday.
The Islamic cleric said people cannot continue to suffer in the midst of plenty, hence, reason the present government need to embark on restructuring of the nation system to pave way for growth and lasting development.
According to him, the government has a lot to do to improve on the socio-economic development of the country and also improve on the living standard of the people.
The Islamic cleric said people are tired of the structure on ground adding that for the nation to have a formidable Yoruba region like the era of late sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo, an attitude of the people towards work and total commitment to positive development must set in.
He said our country has been faced with the challenges of growing and developing over the years because of the crop of people in the affairs of the country.
“We want the present government to reason with the need to restructuring the nation because the people can no longer continue to suffer in the midst of plenty.”
Professor Olagoke who attributed the nation’s problems to lack of credible leadership said it was high time we use religion to do the needful in order to set things right for the country.
