It was a beehive of activities at the final burial ceremony of Elder John Bola Aragbaiye who slept in the Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.
His journey home started with service of songs on Monday 18, March and Wake keep on Tuesday 19 of March 2019 at his resident, Sharp Corner, Oluyole Ibadan after which dignitaries from all walks of life paid him the last respect at a well attended burial pragramme at Aruwajoye hall in Akure, Ondo State.
According to Evangelist (Dr) Funmi Aragbaye in her words: Words are not enough to thank most profoundly revered dignitaries in persons of Evangelist (Prof.) Ebenezer Obey -Fabiyi, the Octagenarian Rev. Idowu Animasaun, Pastor Adelakun Ayewa, Evang. (Dr.) Bola Are, Apostle Timi Orokoya Telemi, (DR.) Toun Soetan and her amiable husband, Evang. Esther Igbekele Iwalesin, Evang. Bisi Alawiye-Aluko, Evang. Bukola Akinade (Senwele), Evang. Bose Adeiwa, Evang. Wunmi Babalola and a host of other great Gospel Music giants; all of who came to attend the programme.
“These gospel music giants performed at all the programmes and supported the family financially . I’m so grateful God bless you all.
On Thursday 21, March his body left for The Cathedral Of St. James The Great, Oke Bola, Ibadan. For order of commendation Service, after which his Body left finally to Idimepen Street, Ijebu Owo in Ondo State.
Meanwhile, Artistes Night had earlier been organised in honour of Elder John Aragbaiye at Aruwajoye Hall in Owo
On Friday 22, March Transition to Glory was held at St. Patrick Church, Ijebu Owo, Ondo State.
The Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, and other top dignitaries were in attrndance, just as entertainment of Guest followed at Aruwajoye Hall, Ijebu Owo.
The Late Elder John Aragbaiye was an astute journalist whose contributions to the media industry would remain indelible. He served as editor in the defunct Sketch Newspaper, the Herald and the Tribune Newspaper. He also served as Chief press Secretary to the then governor of Ondo State, Chief Adekunle Ajasin.
