Chelsea moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League with victory at struggling Aston Villa.
Eden Hazard put Chelsea ahead when he swept in from Willian’s through-ball in the first half.
However, Villa responded immediately after the break to score their first league goal in 659 minutes when Jores Okore headed in.
That brought the hosts to life, but Branislav Ivanovic condemned Villa to another defeat with a volleyed winner.
Chelsea’s title rivals Manchester City could only draw 1-1 at home to Hull City.
And James Milner salvaged a point for Manchester City after his late goal earned his side a draw against Hull.
An Ahmed Elmohamady header hit the City crossbar before the visitors took the lead when David Meyler slotted in after Gaston Ramirez’s shot struck the post.
The home side rallied after the break and Edin Dzeko’s shot was palmed away by Tigers keeper Allan McGregor.
Sergio Aguero’s shot late on came off the Hull bar before Milner scored with a low curling free-kick.
In the early kick off, Harry Kane continued his superb recent form with two goals as Tottenham came from behind to beat Arsenal in an entertaining north London derby.
Kane pounced to finish at the back post following Mousa Dembele’s flick from a corner early in the second half.
He then rose to head home in the 86th minute to take Spurs above the Gunners in the Premier League table, reports the BBC.
Mesut Ozil had given Arsenal the lead with a close-range finish but they sat back after and paid the price.
