The wife of Ondo state governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu has again reassured market women in the state of accessing cheap loans needed to boost their businesses.
The Ondo state first lady, while interacting with market women in Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje and Ese Odo local government areas enjoined them to ensure they register for the digital market women initiative in order not to be left out.
Akeredolu, who was accompanied by the wife of the Deputy Governor Designate, Mrs Lucky Aiyedatiwa, All Progressive Congress (APC) National Women leader, Mrs Stella Oketete, SUBEB Chairperson, Oladuni Odu among others, emphasised that the initiative was not a political shenanigan.
She promised the women more dividends of democracy as soon as Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is re-elected.
In a statement made available to Western Post by the media desk of Her Excellency, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation South, Mrs Morenike Alaka and the BEMORE Patron, Mrs Funke Akpan highlighted that the Akeredolu-led administration had, among many projects in the coastal area, empowered a countless number of women and girls in skills that will enhance their self-sufficiency.
With more than 10 wives of traditional rulers in the LGAs in attendance, the market women, led by Iyalaje of Ikaleland, Chief Mrs Calister Arikawe, commended Mrs Akeredolu for the initiative, promising total support for the reelection bid of Governor Akeredolu.
