The Transition Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Olumuyiwa Babayemi has laid a foundation for a block of three classrooms with toilets and a borehole at Africa Nursery and Primary School, Ajipatutu in Elere/Onigbedu ward of Ewekoro.
The landmark foundation laying of the classrooms signals the commitment of the transition committee chairman to providing standard primary schools across the local government.
Hon Olumuyiwa explained that on his assumption of duty on 17th Jan, 2020, he had a meeting with all the stakeholders including the Local Govt Education Authority, requesting for a block of classrooms at Ajipatutu and Adunbu. Ajipatutu Primary school was considered a priority due to the existence of Primary school in the town and also called for urgent attention.
He said, “We envisage the completion of the block of three classrooms, borehole and toilet which we lay the foundation today 2nd June, 2020. The project is completed in three weeks.”
He appreciated the Ogun States governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for fulfilling part of his promises to return back to the Local Govt as the third tie of Govt to perform her duties, stressing that the community would appreciate the laudable project as the dividend of democracy which is long overdue.
