Former Minister of Health, Prof. Babatunde Osotimehin, is dead.
He died in the early hours of Monday at 68.
He was also head of the Federal Government’s agency working on the control of HIV/Aids, NACA.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that it learnt of the death of the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Population Fund Agency (UNPFA) on Monday.
According to the online newspaper, sources close to Osotimehin confirmed the death of the former minister.
Osotimehin was also at one time Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.
He was appointed the 4th Executive Secretary of UNFPA in November 2010 and re-appointed in August 2014.
He was born on February 6, 1949.
