Liad Tella Named Chairman, Federal College of Education, Iwo


Veteran journalist and ex-National Commissioner, National Hajj Commission, Alhaji Liad Tella, has been appointed Chairman of the Governing Board of the Federal College of Education, Iwo, Osun State.

The announcement was made yesterday signaling the imminent take-off of the school, the first such government-owned tertiary institution in Iwoland.

Tella was General Manager, Sales and Training at the defunct National Concord newspaper before becoming the Managing Director of the defunct Monitor newspaper.

His commitment to the growth and development of the town has been second to none.

Other members of the governing board include Hon. Auwal Hasan from Bauchi, Amina Tagwai Aji from Kano, and Dr. Sunday Agholor from Edo.

The Provost of the school is Prof. R.I Adebayo, Mugisu Aderibigbe Yusuf is Registrar while Fatai Adebayo Lasisi is Bursar.
