Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu on Monday appointed Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni as the Acting Managing Director of the state’s Waste Management Agency (LAWMA).
Before now, Odumboni was Executive Director, Operations of LAWMA. He would be on probation as MD for an initial three months period.
Odunbomi replaces Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, the MD of LAWMA who is on suspension.
It is not clear yet why Gbadegesin was suddenly suspended, but WESTERN POST gathered that there were some allegations levelled at him, which remain yet unproven.
An audit of LAWMA was said to have been ordered by the government, which showed a gap of some N1billion allegedly expended on some unknown projects.
The investigation of the fund is still ongoing while Gbadegesin was asked to step aside.
