The Olówó of Ọwọ, His Imperial Majesty Ọba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye has said that the rift between the daughter of the late sage, Chief Micheal Adekunle Ajasin, Jumoke Anifowose and the Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu will soon fade away.
He expressed that all hands are on deck to put a final stop to the issue.
The traditional ruler who said this in an exclusive interview with Western Post on Tuesday at his Palace in Ọwọ, the headquarters of Ọwọ Local Government area of the state, maintained that, both Akeredolu and Jumoke Anifowose are his children, stating that rift is expected to be settled soon.
According to him, “I want to believe that both of them are of the same family by all standards and the rift between them will soon be settled in due time.
“They are all from this town, same local government and same political party. we are aware of the rift and it will be settled soon, ” he said
It would be recalled that Jumoke Anifowose challenged the primary election that produced the governor as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer at the 2020 primary election of the party.
Moreso, Jumoke Anifowose is the daughter of the first civilian governor of the state and as well contested the party primary election with Akeredolu in 2020.
Anifowose is still challenging the result of the primary at the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja.
