An ex-deputy governor of Ekiti State, Chief (Mrs) Abiodun Olujinmi; a former first lady of Lagos and Ogun State, Mrs. Fatima Raji-Rasaki and a two-time member of the House of Representatives, Mr Duro Faseyi, have been declared winners as the PDP Senatorial candidates at the party’s senatorial primary election held recently in Ekiti State.
Olujinmi, emerged candidate for Ekiti South; Rasaki was announced for Ekiti Central while Faseyi carried the Party’s flag in Ekiti North.
Mr. Lateef Ajijola has, however, kicked over the result of the Central Primary election while Senator Ayo Arise, who lost the ticket for Ekiti North has said that his supporters would determine his next line of action.
Arise, who said he was “a die-hard loyalist of President Goodluck Jonathan”, lost the North Primary election to Faseyi, said to be the candidate of Governor Fayose. Arise said: “I am not worried about this loss. I’m just worried about my party because it is people that win elections. So we are waiting to see what will happen. But I can tell you, judging from the elections that have taken place in this state in the last two weeks that there is a big problem on our hands in PDP.”
