It was a day like no other as the management and staff of Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) got together to celebrate a young, vibrant, innovative and accomplished financial guru, the Managing Director of LAWMA, Mr. Ibrahim Adejumo Odumboni, as he clocked 40 on December 16, 2020.
Odumboni on the saddle of LAWMA a few months ago has proven that he is a man of vision and foresight.
Testimonies of his goodwill to all, his push for a cleaner, better Lagos, and his drive to ensure LAWMA is properly positioned in line with T.H.E.M.E agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu poured in, as men, women, and even the youths trooped in to celebrate Odumboni at the Ijora Olopa Headquarters of the agency.
In May, Odumboni was appointed as MD/CEO of LAWMA and barely six months after he took over the affairs of LAWMA, the agency has successfully launched groundbreaking initiatives and has completely changed the LAWMA narrative.
The LAWMA Academy, Street Marshals, Lagos Recycle, LAWMA Ambassadors, an Insurance package for all LAWMA workers, to mention but a few speak of the grounds the management of LAWMA under Odumboni has covered.
LAWMA under the brilliant hands of Odumboni has been rebranded and decentralized for quick and effective response time. His achievements are indeed too numerous to mention.
Lagos is now cleaner and consistently been cleaned and having successfully resolved the crisis of salaries and mounting debts rocking the agency prior to his appointment, Lagosians are optimistic of a clean, safe and habitable environment.
