It’s official! Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting has been postponed.
WESTERN POST learnt a terse message was sent to ministers and others expected at the meeting conveying the postponement.
No clear reason was given for the development.
But it was learnt that it has to do with what a source called “other critical engagements” of the President.
The nature of the engagement was unclear last night.
It is also unclear why Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was not tapped to preside over the meeting in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo had presided over FEC meetings a number of times in the past.
