FIFA Rankings: Super Eagles Climb One Spot

Nigeria climbed one spot in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday and are now ranked 41st in the world.

The Super Eagles, however, stayed rooted in seventh spot on the continental rankings as Algeria maintained their position as Africa’s highest ranked team, followed by reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, Senegal and Cape Verde.

Guinea, Congo DR and Cameroon make up the top 10 on the African continent while Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Congo, Gabon, South Africa, Egypt, Zambia, Rwanda, Burkina Faso and Uganda occupy the 11th to 20th spots respectively.

World champions, Germany, are still the number one team in the world ahead of Argentina and Colombia, while the biggest climbers are Barbados (131st) and Bermuda (169th), both of whom rose 11 places.

The next FIFA rankings will be released on April 9
