President Muhammadu Buhari will be addressing the Nigerians in a national broadcast today, March 29, 2020, by 7 pm.
The broadcast by the president is expected to focus on efforts of the government to curtail the spread of the coronavirus and measures taken to tackle the economic impact of the development.
This is coming after days of virulent attacks on the president for not addressing the nation on efforts of his administration on combating Coronavirus as other presidents have been doing on a daily basis.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed that the president would speak to the nation in a statement on Sunday hours before President Buhari is scheduled to address Nigerians.
In the statement, Adesina said, “Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
