Ahead of forthcoming general election, five political parties in Ogun State has endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka as their sole candidate in the 2015 governorship election in the state.
The five political parties and their party chairman that adopted PDP candidate are Chief Abiola Lawal (JP) of African Democracy Congress (ADC), Prince Sesan Segun Adegbenro of Action Alliance (AA), Dr Taiwo Adewale of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Engr. Abdul-Majeed Alao Kelani of African Peoples Alliance (APA), and Mr. Olumide Adedigba of People for Democratic Change (PDC).
Engr Abdul Majeed Alao Kelani, of the African Peoples Alliance (APA) explained that the decision to adopt the PDP political candidate was taken by various political parties after serious deliberations among the various candidates vying for the governorship position.
‘’We concluded that Ogun State is in dire need of a resourceful and purposeful leadership that can drive the machinery of government and deliver the much eluded dividends of democracy to the masses of the state, ‘’he said.
While calling on citizens of the state to join them in voting into office Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) of the PDP, Kelani said all the five parties believe with all intent and purposes that he can deliver Ogun State from the hands of those he described as buccaneers and business men in power who he added had taken the state on a fruitless journey in the last four years.
Engr. Kelani also said the five political parties were convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the integrity and quality of character possessed by GNI will guarantee equity, justice and fair play for all citizens of the state.
