Flood sweeps away school pupil in Ogun

Residents of Agbado area in Ogun State were thrown into mourning this evening as flood swept off a primary school pupil of N.U.D primary school, Agbado, Ogun State.
The five-year-old-boy was coming home with his brother inside the rain when they miscalculated and fell inside a canal at the boundary between Lagos and Ogun and flood immediately took them away. It took the intervention of residents around to rescue one of them who was simply identified as Dada.
The rain began around 1:30  pm while the school was about to close.
Residents blamed the teachers for allowing the pupils leave school inside the rain and when everywhere was flooded.
Meanwhile, the Head teacher and some teachers of the school have been arrested and detained at Agbado police station for interrogation.
When our correspondent visited Agbado Police station, the teachers were seen writing statements and the Divisional Police Officer asked our correspondent to come back tomorrow.
