The Federal Medical Centers, Idi Aba, Abeokuta and Ogun State Ministry of Land & Survey has pays the total sum of 190 millions naira to 616 families of the 13 affected communities in Abeokuta over the establishment of university teaching hospital in the state capital.
The medical director of federal medical centers, Abeokuta Dr Adewale Musa Olomu stated this today in Abeokuta during the symbolic presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries held at ministry of land and housing, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He explained that the land were acquired by the state government for the proposed first federal medical centers university teaching hospital in Nigeria.
He said Ogun state government gave 170 hectares of land to the hospitals for the proposed health institution in Abeokuta.
Government acquired the land and transformed it to FMC to build college of medicine and 200 million naira were available for distribution to the family heads.
He identify two major form of compensation to unidentified beneficiaries will collect cheques and 492 will be paid for crops and economic damage and 124 for human improvement and hostel extension.
Speaking, the representatives of Senator Ibikunle Amosun represented by Olayinka Abimbola Special adviser to the governor on land and survey appreciate the management of Federal Medical Centers FMC for keen into governor Amosun ideology in transforming the state.
She advised the beneficiaries of today not to see the little compensation but the grate advantage that the whole communities will benefit.
While commending the good peoples of Adebayo village for their courage to released there inheritance willingly towards the development there domain.
Also the former commander Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Dr Ade Abolurin appreciate Governor Ibikunle Amosun for the supporting giving to Federal Medical Centers, Idi Aba in ensuring that the first FMC University Teaching Hospital was established in Ogun State.
While he urged the beneficiaries not to see the little compensation they are giving to them, but see them self as someone that paid sacrifices for the development of their areas.
