Fola Sunday Oyekunle Assures Constituent Members on Dividends of Democracy

A  lawmaker representing Ibadan North 1 Constituency  in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Fola Sunday Oyekunle has assured members of his constituency of prompt delivery of dividends of democracy in his administration.

Hon Oyekunle,  chairman  House committee on Youths and Sports gave the assurance in a chat with newsmen in his office, Parliament building Secretariat, Ibadan when  speaking on his plan  to carry out his  empowerment programme to  mark  his first hundred days in office.

According to him, plans are under way to empower people of his constituency in line with  his electioneering campaign promises and to commemorate  his hundred days in office.

“I promised my people good representation during my campaign period that  I will definite deliver to them dividends of democracy such that will make them self sufficient.

“We have been doing this since we came on board. Very soon, I will be empowering people in my constituency with various materials, this will form part of the things to show for my hundred days in office.

“We will be training women on catering services generally and provide them with necessary equipment. Also, the youths will be empowered  on phone engineering among others.”

While advising  the youths to shun acts  capable of ruin their future,  the legislator, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Assembly  commended the strides of governor Seyi Makinde close hundred days he assumed power.

According to him, the administration of governor Makinde has come to right so many wrongs committed by past admimistrations in the state.

“It is a new adminstration which  has come to right so many wrongs by past government and I believe before  hundred days in office,  few things would have been put in place by the governor.”

Hon Oyekunle who is also the Chairman House Committee on Public Petition and Judiciary then appealed to the people to cooperate with the present administration to move the state forward.
