The people of Agege Local Government in Lagos State and Inisa in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State have been thrown into mourning.
Former Chairman of Agege Local Government, Chief Enoch Kolapomoye Ajiboso, is dead. He was 68. Ajiboso straddled the two areas. Whereas he was born in Inisa, he spent most of his adult life in Lagos.
He died on Sunday in his hometown, Inisa, in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State, according to The Gazette News.com.
At the time of his death, Chief Ajiboso was the Eesa of Inisa land, the highest traditional stool in the town, second only to the traditional ruler of the town.
Chief Ajiboso, a retired banker, before his sojourn into politics, was a two-time chairman of Agege Local Government, the first man to be elected twice as Chairman of Agege Local Government.
He was the Chairman of Local Government Chairmen in the state and the National Treasurer of the national body.
He was also Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives in the first term of the administration of Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN.
