Former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni, has decided to return to the Peoples Democratic Party he left a few years ago to join the All Progressives Congress where he was later made Deputy National Chairman.
Oni said on Monday that he, along with his supporters, had resolved to leave APC for PDP.
He had contested the last governorship primaries of APC in Ekiti State and lost to Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The former APC chieftain, however, did not disclose the specific time he would return to the PDP.
“We have taken a decision and we are in the process of joining the PDP. Our joining the PDP is something that won’t take three months,” he said.
Lamenting that he and his supporters were denied appointments and privileges in the APC, Oni said: “You all know the kind of treatment I have been getting. As we speak, none of my supporters has been given appointments or allowed to contest elections in the APC.”
He expressed confidence that all PDP members would be willing to receive him and his supporters back to the party.
