Former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, who is also a member of the The Osun Progressives (TOP), a caucus within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Najeem Salam, has comdemned the treatment meted to him by the group.
It was gathered that Salam had emerged winner of the TOP’s shadow primary, where Moshood Adeoti and Lasun Yusuff, came second and third respectively.
But Adeoti was later picked as the candidate of TOP, a development that angered Salam and his followers with a threat to leave the group and return to the mainstream APC.
Westernpost gathered that Aregbesola at the weekend sent a delegation to Ejigbo to appeal to the former speaker.
But sources said Salam remained adamant.
“It was not the first time “Aregbesola will be using and dumping me.
“This is a clear case of cheating. I won’t say more than that. But what I will do next, is in my mind,“ Salam was quoted to have said.
Those who went on the visit are, Kolapo Alimi, Elder Lowo Adebiyi and Alhaji Rasak Salinsile among other TOP leaders.
