Former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on Sunday afternoon played host to three serving governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former House of Representatives Speaker, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, at his Ibadan home.
The governors are Abubakar Badaru, Atiku Bagudu and Mai Buni of Jigawa, Kebbi and Yobe states respectively.
They were ushered into the Ondo Street, Bodija GRA residence of the Ibadan high chief by Senator AbdulFatai Buhari, Oloye Sharafadeen Alli, Hon. Bimbo Adepoju among others.
The meeting, which took place behind closed doors, held between 1.35pm and 2.29pm.
Though details of what they discussed were still sketchy as at press time, WESTERN POST exclusively gathered that the meeting was in a bid to lure the highly-respected politician to the ruling APC.
They, however, declined comments after the meeting.
The moves to get Ladoja to come over to APC had been on for a long time. Ladoja himself had last year visited the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, during which the matter was also discussed.
