Nigeria youths have been charged to desist from drug abuse and other acts of social vices capable of ruining their future.
Former Gubernatorial Candidate in Kwara State, Senator Simon Ajibola gave the warning in Isapa during the annual meeting of the town held at Isapa town hall recently.
He stressed on the need for youth to work round the clock to ensure a better tomorrow as individuals, town and the nation at large.
Ajibola who emphasized the need for Nigerians to embrace peace in all their undertakings, called on Nigerian youth to be hardworking and eschew all acts lawlessness.
He described youth as great assets that could enhance the nation’s progress and economic development, advising them to contribute their quota to social and economic growth of Isapa community in particular and the nation in general.
In his address, the President Isapa People’s Union ( IPU ),Barrister Joel Adeyeye called on indigenes of Isapa community at home and in the diaspora to have the love of the town at heart.
Adeyeye also charged youths to have focus in whatever they were doing, saying that youths are the leaders of tomorrow.
The Onisapa of Isapa, Oba Raphael Alayande Oguntola described human capital development as the bedrock of any society, praying for the progress and development of Isapa community.
The occasion attracted distinguished sons and daughters of Isapa including the former Commissioner for Agricultural and Natural Resources in Kwara state, Engineer Christopher Tunji Ayeni; former Supervisor Councilor for Health in Ekiti Local Government Area Kwara state, Alhaji AbdulKareem Owolabi among others.
