Former Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi Denies Dumping PDP For APC

A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Kwara state and former Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has denied dumping his party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that he remains a PDP member.

Abdullahi, who made this known on Sunday while speaking with WESTERNPOST, said ‘ I am in PDP’.

Recalled that there was reports that the former minister had defected to the APC, a party left in 2018 with his godfather and Former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.

Before now, Abdullahi served in the cabinet of the former Nigerian President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan when he was appointed as the Honourable Minister of Youth Development in July 2011 and later as the Minister of Sports.

In December 2016, Abdullahi was announced as the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress. On the 1st of August, 2018, Abdullahi officially resigned as the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress and defected from the party.
