Four Lagos Most Wanted Cultists Arrested In Ogun State

A total of four members of dreaded Eiye cult group who have been on the wanted list of Lagos state police command for their participation in various deadly attacks that have claimed life of many innocent people have been arrested by men of Ogun state police command last week.

The alleged cultists are Owolabi Rasaq aged 28 of No 3, Ibo-Igunnu street Bariga Lagos;  Chidi Michael aka Chiboy aged 26 of Adelepo street; Odonla, Ikorodu, Lagos;  Sunday Adetiba fondly called Sian aged 30 of No 11, Jagu Lawan street Ogijo, and 27 year old Idris Jimoh  popularly called Aloma of No 12 Akinyemi street, Liberty Estate Ita Oluwo.

They were all said to have been arrested following an intelligence report received by the DPO Ogijo Division, CSP Suleman Baba Muhammed.

According to statement from the force Public Relations Officer for the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the notorious cultists were said to be having a nocturnal meeting in a hideout somewhere in Ogijo on how to carry out another attack in Ogun state, when the DPO and his men stormed the hideout where the four suspects were arrested. .

Investigation, however, revealed that the arrested suspects had been on the wanted list of Lagos state police command for series of deadly attacks leading to the death of many innocent members of the public.

They were all reported to have made confessional statements of been members of Eiye cult group as well as their involvement in various cult-related clashes in Lagos and Ogun state.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation and prosecution.
