Four Persons Remanded for Allegedly Killing Corps Member in Osun

An Osun State Magistrate Court sitting on Monday ordered the remand of four persons for allegedly killing a serving corps member,  Adebayo Mukaila in Osogbo.

The accused persons are Jelili Kareem (29), Oludayo Oludele (34), Awodeji Muyiwa (36), Anifowose Buliaminu (25).

According to the prosecutor, Insp. Akintunde Jacob, the accused allegedly committed the dastardly act on or about January 28, 2020 at Omo west Osogbo.

He also informed the court that Kareem, Oludele and Muyiwa allegedly shot and killed Mukaila after dispossessing him of his recharge cards valued N300,000 and carted away a sum of N2,500 belonging to deceased.

The fourth accused person, Buliaminu was said to have unlawfully received the stolen recharge cards worth N300,000.

The pleas of the first, second and third accused persons were not taken just as the fourth defendant pleaded not guilty to a count charge of unlawfully received of stolen materials leveled against him.

The defense counsel K.A Adepoju prayed the court for the bail of the fourth defendant, saying his offence is a bailable one.

The Magistrate, Modupe Awodele ordered the remand of first, second and third defendants in police custody and granted the fourth defendant bail of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, one of the sureties must be civil servants.

She, thereafter, adjourned the matter till July 13, 2020.
