Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Lekan Alabi, celebrated his 70th birthday in Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday, October 27.
Oloye Alabi is the eldest grandchild of Mama Asma’u Odunola Alabi, the First Woman Leader of the NCNC in Ibadan, under the leadership of the late Alhaji (Hon.) Adegoke Adelabu Penkelemesi, in Ibadan in the 1950s.
Nigeria’s first Federal Minister of Social Welfare and Natural Resources Development, Adelabu was the grandfather of former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
Bayo Adelabu contested the governorship of Oyo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last 2019 general election.
