Two members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been murdered by individuals suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in Benue state.
The officers were named Abah Patrick and Adams Godwin.
Western Post learnt that they were murdered in Awange, Guma LGA on Monday evening, twenty-four hours after the Police Command announced the murder of one of its officers recently kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the state. It was reported that his assailants removed his entrails after the murder.
The NSCDC Benue Command Public Relations Officer, PRO, Peter Adakole, said his men also killed some members of the killer herdsmen.
He went on state: “Awange village was attacked and our men were deployed to defend the village and in the process we lost two of them.
“They also killed some of the herdsmen.”
He said their corpses have been deposited at the morgue at the time of report.
