Gang Up Against Us Will Collapse, Says Belgore

Tunde Oyekola

Mohammed Dele Belgore Campaign Organisation Tuesday denied
disrupting the botched primary election of the PDP in kwara State saying that the campaign of calumny against its candidate will fail.
Reacting to the allegation of the 11 governorship aspirants in the state, the campaign organisation in a statemeent signed by its spokeman Mr Rafiu Ajakaye Media Aide to Belgore said that the
allegations that we disrupted the exercise fly in the face of facts and occurrences at the governorship primaries. Not only did these aspirants conspire to frustrate the exercise, they imported thugs to harass officials and party elders who do not share their desperation and unsportsmanlike conducts.
He alleged that the aspirants went as far as attacking our campaign headquarters and injuring our supporters.
“Their thugs threw caution
into the wind and molested our mothers and wives. When did our campaign headquarters become venue of the primaries. We condemn this desperation. that that their efforts were being sabotaged from within by those working for some outside forces.
“We draw attention of everyone to the wild allegations by these aspirants
that MDBelgore (SAN) doctored the delegates list, when the allegedly doctored delegates list arrived and they saw that nothing was doctored, they did not have the decency to apologise to the man they have maligned.
“It is funny that the same characters who cloned delegates tags and distributed same to their hirelings whom they smuggled into the venue of  the primaries would turn round to accuse Belgore of bringing in fake delegates. The allegation is most absurd. It is against commonsense to say that an ‘anointed candidate’, if any such exists, supposedly backed by powers that be, is unable to tame their violent aggression. “We are aware that the activities of most of these aspirants are sponsored and teleguided by some persons outside the party because they are afraid that a Dele
Belgore candidature would end their tyranny, bad governance and oppression of Kwara people.
“It is a gang up, driven by envy and evil machinations designed by enemies of the people of Kwara,” the statement read.
