Ahead of the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, the President, National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Comrade Yusuf Agboola, has charged Students to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), in order to exercise their franchise in the election.

Speaking at the 2022 NAOSS Anniversary, Agboola who admonished students to participate both at the 2022 governorship and the general elections in 2023 noted that  students fall in the youth category and represent the highest percentage of the society, hence, the need for them to let their impact be felt.

He opined that a voter’s card is essential for all students in a bid to choose the leadership that will represent their interest and elevates the standards of education to the desired heights.

He assured the students of the readiness to champion all possible courses to fight for the yearning and aspirations of students, noting that education should be free.

While appreciating the state government for its efforts in making life better for Osun students, he said Governor Gboyega Oyetola has approved the payment of Bursary for students of the state.

“Education in Osun State is getting better on a daily basis, but much still needs to be done to get to the desired feet.

“It is through our vote that we can speak because vote counts and not agitations, so it is high time we elect the leader we want, most especially as the state gubernatorial election is approaching as well as the general election in 2023,” he said.
